Sebetsa Staffing Solutions has been made aware of various correspondences, being circulated by scammers via e-mail and text messages falsely stating that job seekers must pay a fee in order to secure employment or promises of employment… if they pay for their own background checks.

Sebetsa Staffing wishes to warn the public at large about the fraudulent activities being perpetrated purportedly in the name of our business and its subsidiaries. Please note that,

• Sebetsa Staffing and its subsidiaries does not charge a fee to be placed in our database or at any stage of its recruitment process (Application, interview, processing, placement) or in any circumstances.
• Sebetsa Staffing does not request any information related to bank accounts or other private information.

Recognize & Avoid Job Scams:

• Research the Job, visit the company's website and if they do not have one or it does not fit with how they describe the company. Consider that a red flag.
• Asking for an interview via messaging - Using a messaging or chat service is highly unprofessional and a good way for a scammer to hide their identity. Consider that a red flag.
• Emails from non-business addresses – Watch out for emails from a free account such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail. Most reputable agencies and employers will have their own domain e.g.,www.sebetsastaffing.co.za and email matching their domain e.g., recruit@sebetsastaffing.co.za.
• Upfront payment & Registration fees - Legitimate Recruitment Agencies do not charge Job seekers any fee. Never ever pay any money or provide your bank account details.
• If the person who contacted you stated that you have been ‘shortlisted for a job’, and you haven’t applied for any jobs, consider that a red flag. If you have been applying for jobs, ask the person for the specific details of the job.
